The Milky Way Bulge and Disk Low-Resolution Survey (S3) includes a sub-survey which will target white dwarfs. This S3 sub-survey plans to cover a large fraction of the observable sky in the Gaia G magnitude range from 14 to 20.  It will provide complementary information to understand the formation and evolutionary history of the disk and halo, as well as provide additional constraints on stellar radial migration, SN Ia progenitors, and the fate of planetary systems. The goal is to obtain radial velocities, as well as precise spectroscopic masses and temperatures in order to determine ages for the targeted sample of white dwarfs.
