Fibre crosstalk can be dealt with on different levels of 4MOST operations. Therefore, efforts are being made to develop an efficient observing strategy, coupled with the demand for acceptable magnitude difference of sources in a given pointing of the telescope, and to succesfully remove the polluting light from neighbouring spectra in the process of data reduction. The goal is to reduce the crosstalk to the level where no spectrum will contaminate its neighbours with more than 1% of its flux.
